Parental involvement is one of the most significant factors contributing to a child’s success in school. You can BE the difference!

As a school council member, you can help discover new and exciting ways to contribute to the education of students at Queen Elizabeth. Education is a partnership involving parents, students, teachers, principals, school boards, government, and the community.

The personal advantages of becoming a school council member include:

  • being an important partner in the education system, whose views are valued;
  • contributing to the shared goal of improving student achievement;
  • having a vehicle through which to express opinions;
  • being able to keep informed about what is happening at Queen Elizabeth School.

School Council has helped to support the school through: Volunteering, Fundraising, Outdoor Education Project, planning and execution of Back to School BBQ, Fun Fair, Picton Christmas Parade, Community Engagement Projects; Annual Staff Breakfast.
