Find It Fast!
On Monday October 24, the students Mrs. Babcock's 5/6 class and the students in Ms. McKibbon's SK/1 class travelled to the Frink Centre for a day of outdoor fun.
Although it was a little chilly, the students had a good time visiting the wetland to look for signs of life and changes in nature that occur at this time of year. The younger students had fun hiking in the forest while finding the hidden chickens on the trail. After lunch they were treated to a marshmallow roast.
The older students collaborated to try to build fires and soon learned that dry tinder and good air flow are the keys to success. They finished the day with a game of "Manhunt" in the woods.
