Now that the Long-Term Capital & Accommodation Plan has been adopted by school board trustees, staff will prepare different options related to school consolidations/closures for trustees to consider. In some circumstances the recommendations may result in the need to carry out an accommodation review for a school or group of schools.

Oral Health Screening 2016
Dental Health Screening will take place Dec. 20 - 22, 2016 for all grades SK, JK and 2 students. Some grades 4,6, & 8 students may be screened as well.

The Arson Prevention Program for Children (TAPP-C)
Did you know....
It's important that you deal with any fire involvement immediately, that's where TAPP-C comes in. The Arson Prevention Program for Children is a collaborative program that brings together fire service and other professionals to help deal effectively with fire setting and fire play behaviours for children and youth up to age 17 years. There are two parts to a TAPP-C assessment: 1) Fire education to assist with developing good fire safety practices; 2) Risk assessment to determine the level of risk of continued fire involvement.

Long Term Capital Planning #6
The Facility Condition Index (FCI) is a source of data about the state of school repairs. The MOE gathers it in 5-year cycles, the last of which took place from 2011 to 2015. The data is routinely used by the MOE and may be used by school boards for planning capital projects and school repairs.
