Changes to Home-Time Routines
We are working hard to establish end-of-the-day processes to make sure that all of our students get home safely.
We would ask that if your child requires a change from his/her normal routine that you call us (613 476 6475) before 2:15 pm to let us know. You may also choose to send a note with your child in the morning.
Math Class Investigations
Students in Ms. Babcock's grade 5/6 class are using mathematical vocabulary to prove they have created certain shapes. The point of the lesson is to show that it doesn't really matter if you're right, what matters is that you can PROVE it!
New Emergency Response Procedures
As a part of our commitment to provide a safe learning and working environment, all schools in the province have emergency response procedures. Over the past several years students and staff have been using three terms to define our response to emergencies that occur in and around the school. As of the start of this school year there are some changes to our emergency response procedures.
We now have three emergency response states: "Lockdown", “Hold and Secure” and “Shelter in Place.” Students will be learning and practicing these codes this year. We'll be having a full school emergency response practice in October.
Please be assured that we work closely with the police during any emergency response and during "Hold and Secure" and "Shelter in Place" students are safe inside the building.
